We’re Mid-Thirties. Very Demure. Very Mindful: Things We are Not Bringing into 2025
This year I had a milestone birthday which officially marks these years as “mid- thirties. Or “almost 40” as my 20-something little brother reminds me.. often.
So far I like it here. I’ve enjoyed my thirties and you couldn’t pay me to return to my twenties. But as I embrace this new chapter, here’s a few things in my opinion that should let go and not carry with us at our”big age”.
- Toxic relationships (romantic, familial, professional, etc)
- Over-Explaining ourselves
- Not getting enough rest
- Overcommitting
- Unhealthy boundaries or nonexistent ones
- Not drinking enough water
- Impostor syndrome
- Lack of accountability
- Not taking our vitamins and supplements
- Generational curses
- Seeking validation
- Unhealthy eating
- Ignoring red flags
- Comfort zones
- Frenemies
- Neglecting health
- Grudges
- Settling in career or life
- Overspending to impress
