We’re Mid-Thirties. Very Demure. Very Mindful: Things We are Not Bringing into 2025

This year I had a milestone birthday which officially marks these years as “mid- thirties. Or “almost 40” as my 20-something little brother reminds me.. often.

So far I like it here. I’ve enjoyed my thirties and you couldn’t pay me to return to my twenties. But as I embrace this new chapter, here’s a few things in my opinion that should let go and not carry with us at our”big age”.

  • Toxic relationships (romantic, familial, professional, etc)
  • Over-Explaining ourselves
  • Not getting enough rest
  • Overcommitting
  • Unhealthy boundaries or nonexistent ones
  • Not drinking enough water
  • Impostor syndrome
  • Lack of accountability
  • Not taking our vitamins and supplements
  • Generational curses
  • Seeking validation 
  • Unhealthy eating
  • Ignoring red flags 
  • Comfort zones
  • Frenemies 
  • Neglecting health
  • Grudges
  • Settling in career or life
  • Overspending to impress
